Making Snowflake Parade possible

Dear Editor:

Although the untimely winter storm kept about half of the intended participants from making it to downtown Cambridge, those who were able to brave the weather had a delightful time at this year’s Lighted Snowflake Parade. And what’s a Snowflake Parade without a few (well, maybe more than that) snowflakes?!

We are so grateful for the following businesses and organizations who supported the success of this year’s parade: Cambridge American Legion, Cambridge True Value, Herman’s Bakery, Wal-Mart, Peoples Bank of Commerce, Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill, Pizza Hut of Cambridge, Cambridge Bar & Grill, Lake State Federal Credit Union, Mille Lacs Oil Company, Minnco Credit Union, East Central Sanitation, Cambridge State Bank, Liberty Exteriors, LLC, Lindberg & McKinnis PA, and the Drift Dusters Snowmobile Club of Isanti; along with the numerous community members and parade participants who responded to our plea for financial assistance to ensure a successful and fun family event.

We’d also like to thank the volunteers who donated their time and endless energy for the parade and the chili feed. We could not have done it without your gift of time!

We hope you are looking forward to the 16th Annual Lighted Snowflake Parade the Saturday before Thanksgiving, 2012! (Note: This Letter to Editor was paid for due to the number of business listings).
