Braham area residents have once again been enjoying their favorite pizza place.
After being closed for over eight months, Pizza Pub reopened in September under new ownership.
Owners Eric and Angie Rysdam of Pine City met while working at another Pizza Pub location, so Angie said it was only fitting they run a branch of their own. When the opportunity arose to buy the Braham location, they couldn’t pass it up.
“Everyone’s just so excited about us being open again,” Angie said. “It’s really fun.”
As the owners, Angie and Eric do everything from budgeting to delivery.
“We want people to know we’re family-friendly,” Angie said. The restaurant has high chairs and booster seats in the dining area, and they’ve added chalkboards for kids to draw on, as well as put a changing table in the bathroom, lowered the towel racks to kid-friendly heights and put a stool in the bathroom for kids to reach the sink.
Along with the family-oriented atmosphere, Pizza Pub has a new menu featuring not only pizzas, but wraps, burgers and salads. Speciality pizzas include the Bomber — a meat lovers pizza — and the Pub Special, which is a supreme.
One special offered now is the family meal, which comes with an extra large speciality pizza, a family order of breadsticks and a pitcher of pop for $23.99.
Angie and Eric are also excited to get involved in the community. They’re planning to run a continuous fundraiser to support the Braham School District, and the restaurant serves as a Toys for Tots drop location.
They’re open to supporting other fundraisers or sponsoring events, Eric said.
“Anything that helps the community,” he said. “We want to contribute to and support the community.”
Hours at the Braham Pizza Pub, located at 128 South Main Street, are Monday to Thursday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant also offers delivery.
