East Central Minnesota Chorale to perform at Christ the King

The East Central Minnesota Chorale will perform at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The East Central Minnesota Chorale and its select high school honors choir, Unum Vox, presents its annual Christmas concerts, Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Mora; Friday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Princeton; Saturday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Pine City; and 7:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge.

The Chorale Christmas concert has become a special musical tradition for many people in the East Central Minnesota area. Titled “The Yearning,” this beautiful concert, sung entirely in English, and meant to evoke the warmth of hearth and home, is filled with anthems and carols full of the joy and peace of the season.

Now in its second season, the Unum Vox honors choir brings both excellent singing and youthful exuberance to the Chorale concerts.  The two choirs will join together as well as sing separately, in this heart-warming concert of enjoyable Christmas music.

Tickets are on sale in Mora at Coborn’s and Grace Lutheran; in Pine City at the Pine Center for the Arts and Our Redeemer Lutheran; in Princeton at KBob Café; in Cambridge at the Leader; as well as from Chorale and Unum Vox members. Tickets are good at any of the four venues; $10 for adults; age 17 and under are admitted free.

This concert is funded, in part, by a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council with funds provided by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund as appropriated by the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
