We’re getting ready! The red barn at the Li’l Farm is starting to fill with beautiful items for the Dec. 2 and 3 Li’l Farm Holiday Sale. The sisters have already received some lovely items from Lily, European Inspired Furnishings, in Excelsior and from Angel’s Attic. More will be coming on Tuesday, Nov. 22, and by then the red barn should be full.
We’re hoping that you will be getting ready, too, by marking your calendars for a great shopping adventure on Friday, Dec. 2, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon. The sale will again be at the Christ the King Parish hall on North Fern in Cambridge, Minnesota.
On my visit to the Li’l Farm a week ago, the animals were happily strutting around—the chickens pecking, the roosters crowing, the peacocks prancing, and the donkey gently nibbling at my fingers. Contentment is there at this beautifully cared for home for the children who are in such great need of kind and gentle love and attention. The sale each year helps Sister Francette and Sister Margaret accomplish their mission of giving safety to little ones who so need their energy and encouragement. I can always feel the calmness here and the welcome. On that day, the driveway was lined with pumpkins and the welcoming dog was happily wagging its tail. And then there was the child, just poking his nose at the window anxious to see who had come to visit. Strange that for the children there, this stranger’s home, this Li’l Farm, is often safer than their own home. It shouldn’t be like that.
Please always remember this place of goodness with your attendance at the sale. What you do there is such a tremendous help for the sisters. Also, if you are able to come to help with the set-up the day before, Thursday, Dec. 1, we would be so happy to see you. Just call me at 763-689-3716. Our one day venture into turning the hall into a beautiful shopping area becomes a joyful experience because it is so worthwhile.
