September benefit for Chip Imker family was a success

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Cambridge Fire Department and the family of Chip Imker, we would like to thank our community for your participation in the benefit held September 10, 2011 and for your generosity to the Imker family. We appreciate all of the support for Kristin Hill and the boys. There were over 1,500 in attendance and we sold 700 marinated pork chops. Thank you to all of those who donated goods and services to make this possible. The money raised will go a long way in helping Kristin and the boys. Your love and compassion is very much appreciated and your support has shown us the impact Chip has made on so many lives.

A special thank you to Steve and Brian Beckman for handcrafting wooden shadow boxes for the Imker boys, Whiskey Tango for the music, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for sponsoring the event, Northbound Liquor, Crystal Springs, Kevin’s Gun Service, True Value Hardware, Advantage Collection Professionals, DPMS Panther Arms and all of the people and businesses who donated to the silent auction.
