Local artists honored during IMAGE Art Show
The East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) is proud to honor the award winners of the 25th annual IMAGE Art Show held through Oct. 22.
Isanti County winners are:
Drawing:
Second Place — “Fairy Wings” by Mary Ann Cleary of Isanti County
Painting Opaque:
First Place — “House on 2nd Ave.” by Fred Anderson of Isanti County
Third Place — “The Lady Slipper” by Erich Fritz of Isanti County
Photography:
First Place — “Richie’s Retirement Dream” by Dee Ann Sibley of Isanti County
Purchase Awards:
Functional Sculpture — Larry Ostrom, Isanti County, Vase
Painting Opaque — Kristina Merkouris Anderson, Isanti County, “In the Cool of the Day”
Purchase Awards become part of the permanent collection of the East Central Regional Arts Council.
The IMAGE Art Show is an annual event open to any artist in Region 7E (including the Minnesota counties of Chisago, Kanabec, Isanti, Mille Lacs and Pine).
The Art Show and the awards honor some of the finest art in the area. The judges for the show were Mike Carlson and Mary C. Bruno. They both have a wide range of art show judging experience.
The funding for this art exhibition was provided by the East Central Arts Council/East Central Regional Development Commission through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature and also by The McKnight Foundation.
