Applications for the Nov. 19 Lighted Snowflake Parade in Cambridge are due Wednesday, Nov. 9, although late entries will be happily accepted if space allows. To keep the parade a comfortable one-hour in length for viewers, the parade is limited to the first 80 entries.
More than 40 communities outside of the Cambridge area, including the Minneapolis Aquatennial and St. Paul Winter Carnival, have already responded and will be bringing their beautifully decorated holiday and winter-themed entries to town.
Applications for entry are available at www.cambridge-chamber.com
In conjunction with the 6 p.m. parade, a community chili feed will be held to help defray costs. Captain Ken’s chili, with a side of Herman’s Bakery French bread, will be served for just $3 a bowl in the Cambridge Legion basement from 4 to 8 p.m. Beat the after-parade rush and get your chili early.
