“Grease” returns to the 50s at CIHS

The cast and crew are just about ready to launch another musical onto the Cambridge-Isanti High School Performing Arts Center stage. “Grease” will be presented the weekend of Nov. 17 – 20 and tickets are on sale now.

The cast has been set and appearing as the Pink Ladies are Jessie Peters as Rizzo, Cora Nelson as Marty, Hannah Palmer as Jan, and Madelyn Gunderson as Frenchie. All four girls have enormous talent and have shared that talent in previous productions, but not as well as they will in this show that highlights all of them with a song.

The T-Birds are wonderfully played by Jon Wells as Danny, Jake Fixell as Kenickie, Adam Peterson as Doody, Jordan Zurn as Roger, Noah Bensen as Sonny, and Adam Heinen as Eddie. Sandy is perfectly cast with Megan Hovinen playing the role to the hilt.

Other large roles include Mitch Tillges as Vince Fontaine, Mikaela Kase as Miss Lynch, Elizabeth Poppen as Patty Simcox, Elizabeth Nault-Maurer as Cha-Cha, Donny Neisen as Johnny Casino, Thomas Hamilton as Sykes, Katie Skalicky as Blanche, and Nicole Bergman, Emma Dimassis and Cassie Terrizzi as the Cheerleaders.

The cast is completed with Chorus Members that are doing a fantastic job: Katrina Barnes, Isabelle Barrett, Jonah Bensen, Bailey Houle, Jerome Hunt, Kelsey Lynn, Deena Oberlander, Hannah Seline-Wagner, Tristen Sima, Jenny Skalicky, Maddi Strom, Jennifer Szczech, Kurara Takahashi, Sarah Titus, Brandon Vernig, Josh Walz, Arienne Woodiwiss, Victoria Ysker, Jami Zacharias, and Jenna Zelinsky. The crew members and pit orchestra members are equally important and will be shared in a later article.
