Annual Kroppkakor Supper at Spring Lake Lutheran Church

The annual Swedish Kroppkakor (potato and pork) supper will be Thursday, Oct. 27, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Spring Lake Lutheran Church, North Branch. The traditional Scandinavian meal will be served by members dressed for the occasion.  While waiting to be seated, all are invited to purchase creative gift items and delicious goodies from the Bake and Craft sale.

Cost of the meal is adults, $9; ages 6-12, $3.50; 5 and under free. Takeouts will be sold ($9) as long as they are available.

First Baptist Church to show viewing of “Journey to Jamaa”

First Baptist Church, 304 Main St. S., Cambridge, will host a viewing of World Vision’s “Journey to Jamaa.”

This award-winning film tells the story of two real-life children who make an impossible journey and a family that faces a heartbreaking choice in the midst of crushing poverty. Harvest & Holly Craft & Bake Sale Nov. 5 at Cambridge UMC

The annual Holly & Harvest Craft & Bake Sale will be hosted at Cambridge United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5. Deer-hunt widows and the rest of the public are invited to peruse the goods from church members and vendors as you prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Lunch is offered, including tasty lefse.


Mystery Mountain Boys to perform at Oxlip Evangelical Nov. 5

The Mystery Mountain Boys will perform at Oxlip Evangelical Free Church on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. Come to hear some hybrid gospel/bluegrass on steroids with a pinch of hot pepper.

Annual Pork Dinner at Fish Lake Lutheran

The annual Fall Pork Dinner, Craft & Bake Sale and Silent Auction will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8 at Fish Lake Lutheran Church in Harris.

Dinner will be served from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and includes roast pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, cole slaw, pickled beets and pickles, rolls, dessert and apple cider, milk and coffee.

Dinner tickets are adults: $8; ages 6-12: $4 and ages 5 and under are free. Proceeds will go toward maintaining the historical integrity of Fish Lake Lutheran, and the local food shelves.
