Fall family fun in the “Fairy Tale Land”
Ongoing, October: Your family will love the annual indoor straw maze at the Green Barn Garden Center ($2.50 per person any age, under 2 free) open daily. Items are found throughout the fairy tale maze to claim a prize at the end. Kids will love to play in the corn kernel pit “Under The SEED” ($1.50 per person. Must be at least 2 yrs). Free Community Dinner
Thursday, Oct. 20: A free Community Dinner will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Use the downstairs entrance. Everyone is welcome to join for a time of fellowship and a meal. Call the church office at 763-444-9201 with questions.

Cambridge Legion serves broasted chicken
Friday, Oct. 21: The Howard McCarty American Legion in Cambridge will serve a broasted chicken dinner on the third Friday of every month. The first dinner is Friday, Oct. 21, at the upper level of the Legion from 5 p.m. until all the chicken is sold. Cost is $8.
Isanti County Self-Advocacy Dance
Friday, Oct. 21: All are welcome to an Isanti County Self-Advocacy Dance from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at United Methodist Church, 404 N. Cypress St., Cambridge. $5 admission, staff free. The regular meeting for self-advocacy will be held from 4-5 p.m. to discuss self-advocacy issues.
Swedish Meatball Dinner
Saturday, Oct. 22: A Swedish Meatball Dinner, sponsored by the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery Board, will be held from 5-7 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church-Weber, 28168 Jodrell St. NE, North Branch. Swedish Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy, Vegetable, Coleslaw, Bun, Dessert, Coffee and Milk, will be served. Tickets are $7 adults, $5, 6-12 and 5 and under free. Save $1 if purchase tickets in advance. For tickets, contact a Cemetery Board member or call the church office at 763-444-5988. Proceeds benefit the Lawn & Maintenance Care Fund for the Weber and Bradford Cemeteries.
Isanti VFW Halloween Party
Saturday, Oct. 22: Isanti VFW Post 2735 will host a Children’s Costume Halloween Party from noon to 2 p.m. The party is sponsored by the Isanti VFW Women’s Auxiliary #2735 and Cooties Pup Tent 99. There will be a best pumpkin design contest for the most creative-carved or decorated. Winners announced at 1:30 p.m. Non-perishable food items will be accepted for the local food shelf.
Harvest Festival at St. Stephens
Saturday, Oct. 22: Women of St. Stephen’s, St. Stephen’s Lutheran, Braham, will hold their Annual Harvest Festival from 4-7 p.m. The festival will include crafts, home baked goods and a home-made menu of chicken wild rice soup, chili, kraut and pork, potato salad, ham sandwich and home-made pies. Proceeds are used to support different mission projects throughout the year. St. Stephens is located one mile east of Hwy. 107 on Co. Rd. 4. All are welcome.
Community Lunch at Grandy Community Center
Sunday, Oct. 23: River Valley Christian Church IHS is hosting its monthly community lunch from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Grandy Community Center. There is no charge for the lunch, and all are welcome.
