Bombers beat Tigers in pivotal GRC Volleyball match

Braham Volleyball defeated principal rival Rush City Oct. 18: 25-20, 25019, 22-25, 31-29. With the win the Bombers can claim a share of the GRC championship by defeating visiting Pine City Oct. 24.

‘Eighth-grader Carley Lynch had to get in her serves at some pivotal moments. We were down several times in Game 4 by one point and had the serve.  Any one of the girls could have missed a serve costing us the match. It was great to see such poise from all the girls, including an 8th grader,” commented Bomber Coach Britne Engelking. “All the girls stepped up and played phenomenally during the 31-29 point win. We knew that taking it to Game 5 was not an option. The girls all clicked and played the best they have all season. Both teams drew in large crowds and it was nice for us to have the support of our fans.  We really fed off of the positive environment.”

Bomber stat leaders against RC: Becca Dahlman-18 kills, 16 digs, 22/23 serving, 3 ace serves, 5 blocks; Sara Tomlinson 12 kills, 4 blocks, 8 digs; Briana Richmond 29 assists; Kelsey-Sorenson-Giffrow 17 digs, 15/15 serving; Kayla Nickles spot-on serve receive with 13 digs 6 kills.
