“We changed the lineup to try to spread our talent and win more points, but the Wildcats proved to be too much. We lost 7-0. There were some close matches, but we just couldn’t pull out wins,” said Coach Lee Orvik.
In Tuesday’s second round, the Wildcats were defeated by No. 2 Forest Lake 7-0. Also advancing out of the 7AA South was top-seed Elk River. Grand Rapids and Duluth East are the top two seeds in the 7AA North.
• The Bluejackets season continues in 7AA South Individual action Oct. 12 at St. Francis. Hanson & Hallstrom are seeded No. 3 in Doubles, with C-I also represented by Mork & Booth as the No. 15 seeds.
