Scott Hansen is credited with raising over $250,000 in cash and toys for families in Minnesota
The Toys for Troops Comedy Tour, with award winning comedian Scott Hansen, are raising money for local veterans organizations and families as well as collecting unwrapped toys for children of military families.
The Toys for Troops Comedy Tour will be at the Isanti VFW Post 2735, 410 Railroad Ave. S., for a show on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20, and can be purchased by calling 763-444-9787.
Since 2005, Hansen is credited with raising over $250,000 in cash and toys for families in Minnesota. In 2010, 20 Minnesota locations from all the corners of the state were filled with supporters of the cause that included many veterans, as well as military currently serving our nation.
Scott Hansen is the unprecedented, 5-time winner of the Minnesota Comedian of the Year award. This is not an easy accomplishment in a state that is the home of comic stars Louie Anderson, Tom Arnold and Al Franken. The award winning comedian has made millions laugh with successful national TV appearances on HBO, Showtime, A&E and E.
On regional television, Scott has produced, written, directed and hosted “Comedy Gallery: The TV Show” on KMSP-TV (FOX). The show was a ratings hit as it consistently beat “David Letterman” and the “Tonight Show” in its weekly Friday night time slot. Scott has been the director, producer and head writer of the award-winning, live, comedy specials “April Fools Live” and “Halloween Live,” which were hosted by Harry Anderson, Jennie Jones and Roseanne Barr.
Scott’s 20 plus years of laugh-filled, performances have set attendance records at comedy clubs, colleges,and corporate events nationwide. His national reputation has earned him a spot appearing in concert with superstars Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld and Drew Carey. Scott has been a guest host or regular feature on nearly every Minnesota news, talk,entertainment or sports TV program. He has done the weather and guest hosted sports shows on all network stations.
Scott has been heard from nationally on over 500 radio interviews. He has made radio listeners laugh on every possible format ranging from talk to country, from metal to Christian. Scott is currently featured on XM and Sirius Satellite Radio and is a regular fixture on the KQRS Morning Show.
