The women of Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, Center City, invite you to join them at the sixth annual All-Women’s Retreat on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19-20, at the Retreat Center of Luther Point Bible Camp near Grantsburg, Wis.
Chisago Lake Lutheran Church member Barbara Wikelius will lead the program, Living a Life of Daily Bread. To live a life of daily bread is to be in intentional, patient community with one another and with all of creation. Participants are invited to bring along a favorite bread or bread recipe to share. Baking bread will be included in the program. Inexperienced bakers will have a chance to mix, knead and shape bread dough.
The comfortable retreat center has 12 rooms, each sleeping up to four campers and each room has its own bathroom with shower. You may carpool from Chisago Lake Lutheran Church. The retreat is from 9:45 a.m. on Saturday through 11 a.m. on Sunday. The cost to attend is $65 and includes lodging, three meals, two snacks and program related items. With prior arrangement, bedding will be provided for an additional $7.50 (or you may bring your own.)
The retreat is open to all adult women and you are encouraged to bring a friend. No one is too old or too young. Space is limited to 48 participants.
Lively discussion, eating, worship with communion, fun and games, more eating, fireside chats, crafts, talking and movies, are all part of the weekend. This is your retreat—you may participate in as much or as little as you like.
