Cambridge-Isanti hockey product Jerid Adamson notched the hat trick and added two assists when the Minnesota Owls downed Maple Grove 9-4 Sept. 30. Robert Erickson scored two first-period goals for the Owls, including beating two defenders with 15 seconds left in the period. Taylor Bargar added two goals in the second period, and Brad Jerzewski faced 25 shots, making several key saves.
On Oct. 1, the TC Northern Lights defeated the Owls 3-2 in overtime. Bargar and Adamson netted goals for the Owls, with Austin Campbell making 35 saves.
The Owls next home game is Oct. 7 (7:30 p.m.) when the Hudson Crusaders face the Owls for the first time since knocking them out of playoffs last year. This game is followed by a game in Hudson Oct. 8. The Owls are also planning a Cancer Awareness evening as part of Cancer Awareness Month. The players will be wearing pink jerseys that will be raffled off for charity.
