Kayla White served in six straight Braham points at the start of Game 2 against Isle.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPORTS: Braham Volleyball put together a strong night of serving and defense to defeat visiting Isle 25-12, 25-17, 25-17 in a Great River match Sept. 29, part of the Homecoming action at Braham this week.

Kelsey Sorenson-Giffrow served in eight straight points to propel the Bombers in Game 1. Kayla White, Kayla Nickles, Sara Tomlinson and Becca Dahlman all ran strings of more solid serves in Game 2.

The Huskies put up their best fight in Game 3, pulling to within 16-14, but the Bomber defense reinvigorated to help setters Briana Richmond and Carley Lynch find the hitters. Dahlman closed out the match with a blistering kill at the net.

Amanda Sybrant searched for a tip opening in the Bombers GRC win over Isle Sept. 29.

The victory has the Bombers sitting at 2-0 in the Great River Conference (10-5 overall). On deck, Braham has two big GRC road matches (at Onamia Oct. 4, at Ogilvie Oct. 6).
