On Sept. 23, Cambridge Christian soccer shut out Hope Christian 6-0. Jake Wold scored the first goal 16 seconds into the game. It snowballed from there as Josh Wichman added two goals, Tyler Ellingson scored a goal, Syfah Doble scored a goal, and Jack Swenson scored as the Warriors rolled 6-0.
First Baptist-Rosemount 2, CCS 1 OT
CCS played host to Rosemount Sept. 26 and lost 2-1 in an intense overtime game. The Warriors three times hit the post and could not pound home the garbage goals. They missed 22 shots overall. But in the second half Jake Wold got a penalty kick and buried it for a 1-0 lead.
The Warriors then lost the lead with 10 minutes to go as Rosemount scored on a deflected save from Grant Taylor in net. Grant had an excellent day in net stopping 19 shots. The Warriors ended regulation 1-1. Rosemount scored in the second minute of overtime to make it 2-1.
CCS 11, Hope Christian 0
CCS played host to Hope Academy on Sept. 27 and won 11-0. Hannah Solomon and Sophie Morris each recorded hat tricks and Grant Taylor, Charlie Swenson, Isaiah Hurd, David Fryc, and Josh Wichman added solo goals. The Warriors are now 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the CAL. They play host to Spectrum on Friday, Sept. 30 and then face three CAL opponents next week.
Warrior Volleyball falls to First Baptist-Rosemount
The Cambridge Christian volleyball squad dropped a five-game match to visiting First Baptist Sept. 26. The Warriors also split matches against Hope Christian this past week, sitting with a 3-6 overall record on the season.
