Football: Bombers beat Jags, Jackets blanked at Buffalo
Braham improved to 3-0 on the season with a 36-8 victory at Hinckley Sept. 16, holding the Jaguars to 75 total yards and scoreless until 16 seconds remained in the Great Polar Blue match-up.
Nick Mattson hauled in a 37-yard scoring reception from Tyler Vaughan on the Bombers’ first possession. On the first play of the second quarter, Vaughan found Cory Ambrose for a 14-yard scoring pass, with Dylan Altendorf following with his second two-point catch.
Ambrose broke off a 45-yard TD run early in the third quarter to make it 22-0, then Shaun Hollenkamp caught Vaughan’s third TD pass of the night on a 24-yard play. Ambrose scored his 13th touchdown of the season with a 51-yard interception return early in the fourth quarter. Vaughan led the rushers with 92 yards on 17 carries, and the Braham defense finished with 10 tackles-for-losses.
Braham travels to Pine City in a key GPFA Blue game this Friday night.

Host Buffalo led 13-0 at the half then scored on three long runs to pull away from the Bluejackets in the Sept. 16 Mississippi 8 game. Clayton Jennissen finished with 103 passing yards and 39 yards on the ground for C-I.
Section foe St. Cloud Tech comes to town for the Sept. 23 Homecoming battle with the Bluejackets.
