Trinity Lutheran celebrates 125th anniversary

Trinity Lutheran Church North Branch continues celebrating 125 years with a special service this Sunday, Sept. 25, at 8 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Pastor Terry Frovik, who served the congregation from 1974 to 1980, will be welcomed back to preach and conduct the service. Also, one of the previous organists, Bonnie Nelson, will share her music and poetry during the prelude. Come early to enjoy her gifts and stay following the service for fellowship and a time of renewed acquaintances.

Turkey Dinner at Freshwaters United Methodist

Freshwaters United Methodist Community will host a Turkey Dinner and Silent Auction on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Brook Campus, 6823-305th Ave. N.W., Princeton. The cost of the dinner, which includes homemade pie, is $8 for adults, $6 for youth (6-11), and children under 5 free. Be sure to check out the beautiful items on the Silent Auction. Spelmanslag: Swedish fiddlers at Salem Lutheran Church

You are invited to come to hear “Spelmanslag,” a group of Swedish fiddlers from the Swedish Institute in Minneapolis on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 6:30 p.m. during Salem’s Harvest Festival.

Dressed in traditional Swedish clothing, this is an amazing group of musicians. If you haven’t heard them, get ready for a real musical treat! There will be a free will offering that night and pie and refreshments afterwards.

The Harvest Festival offering will go to support local food shelves and other missions. You are invited to bring a non-perishable food item that night for local food shelves. Salem is located 1/2 mile east of Hwy. 47 on Co. Rd. 3. Call the church at 763-689-1687 for more information.

Kost Evangelical celebrates 125th anniversary

Kost Evangelical Free Church invites the public to the final event of their 125th anniversary celebration on Sunday, Oct. 2. The service that morning will begin at 10 a.m.

The church will have a special guest speaker, Dr. Bill Hamel, president of the Evangelical Free Church of America. There will be a dinner following the service with a free will offering taken. Soup and sandwich supper at Braham Ev. Covenant Church

There will be a soup and sandwich supper and bike sale at Braham Ev. Covenant Church on Friday, Oct. 7, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

The menu will be chili, vegetable beef or chicken wild rice soup along with ham sandwiches, dessert and beverage. A free will donation will be taken for the meal with proceeds going to Covenant Women Ministries. The church is located at 508 N. Broadway Ave. in Braham and is handicapped accessible. Community invited to free luncheon in Grandy

River Valley Christian Church invites the community to join them for a free lunch of BBQ pork, chips, beans, dessert and lemonade following their church service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25.

The luncheon will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m., and located at the Grandy Community Center, 2749 Co. Rd. 6 NE, Grandy.

Cambridge Senior Dance

The Cambridge Senior Dance will be held at the American Legion in Cambridge on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. Dick Szyplinski will be playing. Cost is $5.
