Young female reported missing from Cambridge is found

Maria Del Rosario Mendiola-Garcia has been found as of 9 a.m. this morning, and has been safely returned to her residence in Cambridge.

The Cambridge Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a missing person.

On Sept. 6, the Cambridge Police Department received a report of a missing person.

Maria Del Rosario Mendiola-Garcia, a Hispanic female, 16, was reported missing from a residence in the city of Cambridge. Mendiola-Garcia is 5’2” tall, weighs approximately 130 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.

Mendiola-Garcia left the residence on Sept. 2, and was originally believed to be headed to Duluth, Minn. to meet a friend. It was later determined that Mendiola-Garcia may have left with the area willingly with a Hispanic male by the name of David Bustos. Bustos is a suspect for a significant assault that occurred recently in the Cambridge area.

The police department received information that Bustos is currently in Minnesota, but may be attempting to flee the country into Mexico.
