5th Annual Captain’s Motorcycle Run raises over $3,000 for Beyond the Yellow Ribbon

Over 130 riders participated in the 5th Annual Captain’s Motorcycle Run held Sept 4.

Captain’s On Long Lake held its 5th Annual Motorcycle Run Sunday, Sept. 4.

There were 131 registered riders, which was sponsored by 92 KQRS and hosted by afternoon drive personality Lisa Miller.

With each rider donating $20 per motorcycle and $10 per passenger, $3,022 was raised for Isanti County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon.

Captain’s on Long Lake co-owner Tammy Johnson noted Isanti County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon is an organization near to her heart.

Johnson’s father is a Vietnam Veteran who served in the Marine Corp., and her older brother served in the Navy.

Her son is currently on active duty in the Marine Corp. He was deployed last year to Okinawa, Japan and will be shipping out to Afghanistan in the spring of 2012.
