Enjoy a trip to the State Fair

The Cambridge Senior Center still has room for more on their annual trip to the Minnesota State Fair on Thursday, Sept. 1. They have six spots left on the bus, and cost for the bus is $15. You pay for your admission ticket into the Fair when you arrive. Call the Senior Center for further details at 763-689-6555.

 

Elim Baptist features Glitzy Chicks for concert

You are invited to Elim Baptist on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. for a Gospel concert by the Glitzy Chicks. They are three seniors who have all placed in the Miss Senior Minnesota contest. North Country Hillbillys Car Truck Show Sept. 10

The 6th Annual North Country Hillbillys Car & Truck Show will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Braham Covenant Church.

• Custom Dash Plaques to the First 50 entrants

• Prize Drawings throughout the day

• Participate in the “Valve Cover Race” and the “Slow Ride Race”

• Muffler Rap Contest at 3 p.m.

• Featuring Live Bluegrass Gospel Music hosted by the Braham Covenant Church

There is no entry fee; however, non-perishable food items for the local food shelf are encouraged. Last year’s event raised just over 357 pounds of much needed food for the local food shelf.

Pork Chop Dinner at Christ the King Sept. 11

The Cambridge Knights of Columbus Christ the King Council 12183 will be sponsoring the annual “Pork Chop Dinner” again this year. The dinner will be held Sunday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Catholic Parish Hall.

Adults are $9, children 6-12 $6, and children 5 and under are free. Besides the dinner, there will be a bake sale, silent auction (concludes at 1:15 p.m.), and Kids Carnival.
