Local Farmers’ Markets
Ongoing: Cambridge Farmers’ Market takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the City Center Market’s parking lot. Master Gardeners join us again this year to answer any questions. Isanti Farmers’ Market is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Riverside Market Grocery Store parking lot.
Swedish Club meeting
Thursday, Aug. 25: The Swedish Club of Cambridge will meet on at 5 p.m. at River Wood Village. Visitors are welcome.
SAC’s Annual Block Party
Friday, Aug. 26: SAC’s Annual Block Party will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Bring a dish to share for the potluck dinner (dinnerware will be provided). The party will feature Classic Country Singer Doyle Peck. Bring your lawn chair. Event held rain or shine (if raining, it will be held indoors). SAC’s is located at 332 NW 3rd Ave., Cambridge.
CIHS 10-Year Class Reunion
Saturday, Aug. 27: Cambridge-Isanti High School Class of 2001 will hold a 10-year class reunion at the Isanti County Fairgrounds Community Room, from 6 p.m. to midnight. Gerdin’s Cemetery Association Meeting

Music & Pie Concert Series
Sunday, Aug. 28: Siloa Lutheran Church will feature bluegrass group, The Barley Jacks, at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. The concert is free, with a free-will offering accepted, with all proceeds given to the performers. Our Response Spaghetti Fundraiser
Tuesday, Aug. 30: An Our Response Spaghetti Fundraiser will be held from 5:30–7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 304 Main Street S., Cambridge. Cost is $7/adult and $5 children 12 and under. Free Community Dinner, Bread Distribution
Thursday, Sept. 1: A free community dinner and bread distribution, also featuring free clothing and household needs, will be held from 5:30 -7 p.m. It’s hosted by Cambridge UPC Church, 210 10th Ave SW, Cambridge, (renting the Seventh Day Adventist Church). Athens Township Picnic
Saturday, Sept. 10: Come on out to the Athens Township Picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will have Jurassic Park Survivor and Bouncy Boxing from Game World for kids’ entertainment, plus other attractions. Get a character sketch from Dan, enjoy live music by Doyle Peck, and get to know your neighbors while you enjoy a free picnic lunch in Collin Park located next to the Town Hall, on 261st Ave. N.E. (1/2 mile west of Hwy. 65).
Pork Chop Dinner
Sunday, Sept. 11: The Cambridge Knights of Columbus Christ the King Council 12183 will sponsor the annual “Pork Chop Dinner.” The dinner will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Catholic Parish Hall. Adults are $9, children 6-12 $6, and children 5 and under are free. Besides the dinner, there will be a bake sale, silent auction (concludes at 1:15 p.m.), and Kids Carnival.
Medicare Highlights Workshop
Monday, Sept. 12: A Medicare Highlights workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at GracePointe Crossing in the Gables West chapel, 135 Fern St. N. in Cambridge. Lynda Hayek from East Central Senior Resource Center will present important information about Medicare. Whether you are new to Medicare or in need of more information, you are welcome to participate.
