Local creative talent at Pie Art Show

There were many wonderful Art pieces entered in the Braham Pie Day 14th Annual Art Show.

Judge and air-brush artist Erich Fritz had a difficult time choosing the winners, since there was so much terrific artwork represented. Thank you to the many talented artists who submitted their artwork in the show.

Patty Wagner’s “4-and-20 Blackbirds” took home the Adults Best-of-Show Award from the 2011 Braham Pie Day festival.

Here are the results of the judging:

2-D Art – Adults

1st Place: Terri Hendricks, Apple Pie Dreams; 2nd: Renee King, Grampa Wesley’s Bebop-a-rebop Rhubarb Pie; Honorable Mention: Debra Arter, Papercut Pie.

2-D Art – Kids

1st Place: Julia McCarthy, Life is a Piece of Pie; 2nd: Emma Ceaglske, Pie-Cycle Show; Honorable Mention: Gavin Hadro, Pie Wars.

Sculpture/Hat – Adults

1st Place: George Jamison, Pie is Not for Breakfast Anymore; 2nd: Terri Hendricks, Pie Eating Contest; Honorable Mention: Bev Ceaglske, Pie Day Picnic for the Birds.

Sculpture/Hat – Kids

1st Place: Jenna Bostrum, Pasta Pie; 2nd: Emma Ceaglske, Pie Art Quilt; Honorable Mention: Raeni Henneman: Pie for All.
