eBooks are coming to East Central Library
East Central Regional Library will launch eBook service later this year and to help them plan they would like you to take a survey.
Go to the ECRL webpage at www.ecrlib.org and click on eBook survey on the top left hand side of the homepage. You will find a short survey regarding eBooks and eReaders. If you don’t have access to a computer, you can also stop by your local ECRL branch library and pick up a paper copy of the survey,
What’s an eBook? A book-length publication in digital form, consisting of text, images, or both, and produced on, published through, and readable on computers or other electronic devices. eBooks are usually read on dedicated hardware devices known as eReaders or eBook devices. Personal computers and some cell phones can also be used to read eBooks.
Look for training classes on eReaders in January and February at each of the East Central Regional Library branches. The implementation of eBooks and training is made possible through a Library Services & Technology Act grant.
Go to www.ecrlib.org and click on the blog in the left hand column to read more about ECRL’s eBook implementation. Tell them what you think about eBooks, and don’t forget to take the survey.
