Ramona K. Peterson

Ramona K. Peterson, 60, of Rush City died August 17, 2011 at home. 

Ramona was born March 6, 1951 in Braham to Kermit and Vallie (Pearson) Sandquist. She grew up in Cambridge and went to school in Cambridge and graduated in 1969. After graduation she worked at the library in Cambridge until 1979 and then worked at Control Data until 1984 when her doctor took her off work because of her health. In 1982 she married Phillip G. Peterson and they lived in the Cambridge and Braham area. In 1998 they moved to Pine City and lived there until his death in 1999.  She then moved to Isanti, Rush City and Mora.  Her hobbies were gardening and lawn work.  She liked to read and watch TV and play cards.  Ramona was a member of Cambridge Lutheran Church.

Ramona is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip Peterson and sister-in-law, Carol Spath.

She is survived by Jerry Babb and family of Rush City; two step-children, Scott (Theresa) Peterson of Kentucky and Paula Peterson of Braham; mother-in-law Lorna Peterson of Cambridge; step-grandchildren, Alan Miller of Connecticut and Sheri Miller of New Hampshire; Uncles, Dellis and Doris Sandquist of Cambridge and Jim Sandquist of Minneapolis; and many other relatives, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Rev. David Everett officiating.  A time for visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
