Ongoing: Cambridge Farmers’ Market takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the City Center Market’s parking lot. Master Gardeners join us again this year to answer any questions. Isanti Farmers’ Market is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Riverside Market Grocery Store parking lot.
Happiness Happens at GracePointe Crossing
Thursday, Aug. 18: Join the senior living community at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge for an afternoon of fun at a carnival setting from 4-7 p.m. Games, prizes, cotton candy and more. Free Community Dinner
Thursday, Aug. 18: A free Community Dinner will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Use the downstairs entrance. Everyone is welcome to join for a time of fellowship and a meal. Call the church office at 763-444-9201 with questions.
Retirement Party for Fran Strodtman
Saturday, Aug. 20: Fran Strodtman is retiring after 30 years as the director of the Senior Activity Center Services (SACS). A retirement party will be held at the Senior Center form 1-4 p.m. at 332 3rd Ave. NW in Cambridge. Everyone is invited to come and say farewell to Fran. No gifts please; your presence is your gift.
Raven’s Customer Appreciation Day
Saturday, Aug. 20: Raven’s Bar in Bradford will host a Customer Appreciation Day event from from 11 a.m. to close. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. get 20% cash back on your Raven’s VIP Rewards Cards. (These cards are free and easy to use). Enjoy lunch and dinner specials. 8 p.m. to close, Raven’s is Featuring “Kryptonite” (an outdoor band playing classic rock, country rock, to current rock).
Corn Feed and BBQ
Sunday, Aug. 21: Homemade salads, bars and cookies by ladies of the church will be served at Siloa Lutheran Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Freewill offerings will be accepted. From Cambridge, go north to Co. Rd. 3 and turn west, go about six miles to Verdin Street and turn right, then go about two miles to Dahlia Street, turn right and follow to the church.
Crohn’s and Colitis Support Group
Tuesday, Aug. 23: A support group for people dealing with Crohn’s disease and/or colitis will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. Anyone affected, in any way, by either of these conditions is welcome to attend. You do not necessarily need to be the one with the medical condition to attend. If you are supporting someone affected by Crohn’s or colitis, you are also welcome. Refreshments provided. Cambridge Senior Dance
Wednesday, Aug. 24: The Cambridge Senior Dance will be held at the American Legion in Cambridge from 1 to 4 p.m. with the Chmielewski Fun Time Band playing. Cost is $5.
Swedish Club meeting
Thursday, Aug. 25: The Swedish Club of Cambridge will meet on at 5 p.m. at River Wood Village. Visitors are welcome.
SAC’s Annual Block Party
Friday, Aug. 26: SAC’s Annual Block Party will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Bring a dish to share for the potluck dinner (dinnerware will be provided). The party will feature Classic Country Singer Doyle Peck. Bring your lawn chair. Event held rain or shine (if raining, it will be held indoors). SAC’s is located at 332 NW 3rd Ave., Cambridge.
CIHS 10-Year Class Reunion
Saturday, Aug. 27: Cambridge-Isanti High School Class of 2001 will hold a 10-year class reunion at the Isanti County Fairgrounds Community Room, from 6 p.m. to midnight. Our Response Spaghetti Fundraiser
Tuesday, Aug. 30: An Our Response Spaghetti Fundraiser will be held from 5:30–7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 304 Main Street S., Cambridge. Cost is $7/adult and $5 children 12 and under.
