New ‘Passport Program’ designed to help businesses in struggling economy

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Professional Training recently announced the addition of a “Passport” program designed to assist organizations with their ongoing talent development efforts. Businesses and organizations will enjoy the simplicity of pre-paying with one purchase order and the convenience of monthly billing and accounting.  Managers and Supervisors will be able to send their staff to a training session whenever a need arises over an entire year. Those who purchase passports receive preferred rates on all of continuing education offerings and discounts on customized trainings.

“Thriving in this fast-paced, constantly changing global economy requires new skills that build a more productive and quality-oriented workforce,” says Sherry Wickstrom, Executive Director of Professional Training. ”Professional Training can turn a good business into a great one and, in this economy, we all need to be great businesses.”

Wickstrom also notes that in today’s economy many organizations are cutting back or even eliminating in-house training staff, making this type of programming more necessary than ever.

“Professional Training provides a competitive advantage with increasing productivity and job satisfaction,” says Wickstrom.

Training programs range from Business & Industry Development, such as Project Management and Customer Service to Teamwork and Business Math; Computer Applications, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Applications and Web Design; Information Technology, such as Cisco, Microsoft Certified Technology, and CompTIA.

Highly regulated industries can find the necessary training they need too, such as SolidWorks, Dimensional Metrology, Technical Writing, Risk Management, Statistics with Minitab, Principles of cGMP and FDA Regulatory Compliance.

All of these programs and more are available in passport memberships that start at $2,000 and include a 10% discount on open enrollment classes and a 15% discount on customized training.
