Free orientation offered on how to start a business
The North Central Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is offering a free Orientation to Starting a Business seminar at Anoka Ramsey Community College in Cambridge in conjunction with the Minnesota Workforce Center’s Cambridge office.
The seminar will lead you through the steps to start your own business. This 2-hour information filled program will provide you with business basics such as; do you think like an entrepreneur, whether your business idea financially feasible, what goes into a business plan, where do you get financing, and options for choosing a business structure.
The Orientation to Starting a Business is presented by Tom Willett, a Minnesota SBDC Consultant. He has had his own consulting and tax business for over 18 years and has helped several hundred small business owners during that time. Willett also teaches bookkeeping and tax classes for the Cambridge-Isanti Community Education program.
The next Orientation Program is Monday, Aug. 27 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cambridge Campus of Anoka Ramsey Community College in Room E-202. The final session with be Sept. 26.
