He was born Dec. 24, 1927 in Minneapolis, to George Dewey and Alice Mabella Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; sons Jonathan (Susan) of Tulsa, Okla., Joel (Kimberly) of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Daniel of Maple Grove, Ben (Miranda) of Blaine, Peter of Waite Park, and Richard (Justine) of St. Cloud; 12 grandchildren, sister Audrey (Carl) Gardner of Mesa, Ariz.; sister-in-law June Anderson of Mora; mother-in-law Lois Halverson of Minneapolis; brothers-in-law Steve (Mary) Halverson of Moundsview, Jon (Judy) Halverson of Dearborn, Mich., James Halverson of Minneapolis, Timothy (Jill) Halverson of Duluth; sister-in-law Martha (Steve) Reishus of Monticello, Minn.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, children David, Christopher, Aaron and Elizabeth, and brother George Dewey Anderson.
Funeral Services were Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home with Pastor Gerry Smith officiating. Pallbearers were his sons Jonathan Anderson, Joel Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Ben Anderson, Peter Anderson and Richard Anderson Jr. Interment was in the Gerdin Cemetery. Arrangements were with the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Cambridge.
