Deborah Ann Rolf
Deborah Ann Rolf, of Isanti, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. She was 59 years old.
Deborah was born on September 12, 1951 in Minneapolis to parents Milton and Doris (Holm) Kleven. She was the eldest of three children. Deborah was baptized in the Salem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, and at age 14 was confirmed at the First Lutheran Church of Columbia Heights. She attended grade school in Minneapolis, graduating from Patrick Henry High School in 1969. After graduation, she began training and working in X-ray Technology at North Memorial Hospital and the University of Minnesota Hospital.
On June 10, 1972 Deborah was united in marriage to Philip Wayne Rolf at the Hope Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. In 1974 the couple moved to Cambridge, where they lived and raised two sons, David and Jeremy. Deborah continued to work as an x-ray technician at the Cambridge Hospital for the next 20 years until health complications forced her to stop working.
Deborah had many hobbies including cross stitch, crocheting, and doing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cabin on Sturgeon Lake. Deborah enjoyed traveling and taking car trips throughout the USA. Deborah was a member and often played the organ for the St. John Lutheran Church in Weber. She was a member at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham, and more recently at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ogilvie. Deborah will be missed by her family and friends.
Deborah is survived by her husband Philip of Isanti, parents Milton and Doris Kleven of Isanti, sons David (Dawn) Rolf of Zimmerman and Jeremy (Tanya) Rolf of North Branch; granddaughter Rebecca Rolf; brothers Mike (Mary) Kleven of North Branch and Gary Kleven of Isanti; mother-in-law Louise Rolf of Braham; many nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 22, 2011 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Ogilvie with Pastor Marc Freidberg officiating. Music was provided by Deb Menze. Casket Bearers were Tom Rolf, Dan Rolf, Jamie Kleven, Bob Kleven, Jon Kleven, and Tom Kleven. Honorary Casket Bearers were Tim Rolf, and Becky Tauchen. Interment was in the Grasston Union Cemetery.
