Quilt raffle to benefit local 4-H program
In the summer of 2010, four Isanti County 4-H grandmothers felt a need to give back to our local 4-H program.
These grandmothers have had children and/or grandchildren who have participated and benefitted from their experiences in 4-H. Aware of the decreased funding for the summer assistant program, these women, with their love of quilting, together created this pictured queen size quilt to be raffled as a fund raiser. This quilt was custom quilted by local long-arm quilter, Bonnie Gibbs.
Tickets are available at the Extension Office or from the creators of this quilt: Connie Anderson, 763-444-4118; Becky Olson, 763-444-4884; Jane Swanson, 763-689-6908; or Jackie Engquist, 763-689-3239. Tickets will also be available during the Isanti County Fair July 20-23 in the 4-H Exhibit Building. The drawing for the winning ticket will be held during the livestock auction on Saturday evening, July 23, at the Livestock Show Ring.
Tickets are priced at $5 each or 3 tickets for $10. Only 500 tickets have been printed. All proceeds from ticket sales will go toward funding the Summer 4-H Assistant Program.
