David Warden

David Warden, 54, of Isanti died at his home on June 21, 2011 after a battle with cancer. 

David John Warden was born Oct. 14, 1956 in Robbinsdale to Dean and Mary Warden. The family lived in Coon Rapids and later moved to St. Francis. David served a short time in the Navy. He then attended school for landscaping and golf courses. David married Gerry Welliver Aug. 2, 1989 and they made their home in rural Isanti. He was employed by ACE Solid Waste Management until he was disabled. He enjoyed gardening, both vegetable and flower gardening, fishing, woodworking and playing cribbage.

David is survived by his wife, Gerry; 2 sons, David (Becky) Warden, Jesse (Katy) Warden;  daughter, Miranda Warden and fiance, Tim; step-daughter, Terry Lynn (Dalyn) Whittlef; 2 grandchildren; parents, Dean and Dee Warden; brother, Donald (Debbie) Warden; sister, Susan Warden and Mark Cook; special friend, Tom (Susie) Johnson; and by other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 3 p.m.  at Calvary Baptist Church in Cambridge with Rev. David Gerhardt officiating. Music is by Krista Peabody. Interment is in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel.
