Local Farmers’ Markets
Ongoing: Cambridge Farmers’ Market will be held Saturdays at the City Center Markets’ Parking Lot from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring bedding plants, perennials, artisan bread and pastries. Master Gardeners will be joining again this year to answer any questions. Isanti Farmers’ Market is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Riverside Market grocery store parking lot.
Classic Car Show
Thursday, June 23: A Classic Car Show will be held at GracePointe Crossing’s Gables West, 135 Fern St. N. from 2-3:30 p.m. and The Commons, 1545 Riverhills Parkway N.W., from 4-5:30 p.m. Bring your cars for the senior residents to enjoy. Performance at SAC’s on Third
Friday, June 24: The Abrahamson Sisters will perform at SAC’s on Third in Cambridge, 332 3rd Ave. N.W., at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Free will donation. All ages are invited.
Free Community Movie
Friday, June 24: River Valley Christian Church IHS is hosting a family movie night from 8 to 10 p.m. “Letters to God” will be playing at the Grandy Community Center, 2749 Co. Rd. 6 NE. Bring your favorite lawn chair, blanket and mosquito repellent. They will provide the popcorn, juice and water. Movie will be shown indoors if the weather is uncooperative.

Special viewing of “Cars 2”
Saturday, June 25: Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and the GTI Theater in Cambridge invite the community to a special viewing of “Cars 2” at 9:30 a.m. Please bring $2 for the movie and a food or personal hygiene product for the local food shelf.
Isanti Ambassadors Royal BBQ
Saturday, June 25: The community is invited to the Isanti Lions Royal BBQ for the Isanti Ambassadors sponsored at the Isanti Community Center from 5-9 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person. Items donated and funds raised from the Silent Auction go to the 2011 Ambassador Scholarship Fund and used for expenses incurred throughout their reigning year.
Pancake Breakfast for Mann Field
Sunday, June 26: A Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser for Mann Field Stadium Lights (Athens Twp.) will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Isanti Community Center and sponsored by the Isanti Lions Club. Pancakes, eggs with ham, juice, milk and coffee served. Adults $6; Kids under 12 $4. Bacon additional $1.
Weight Loss Surgery Support Group
Tuesday, June 28: Cambridge Medical Center is offering an on-going free monthly support group for people who have had weight loss surgery or who are considering the surgery. A dietitian from the clinic will facilitate the group. The group, called Images, will meet from 6-7:30 p.m., at Cambridge Medical Center, 701 South Dellwood Street, in Dining Room B. Images is sponsored by Unity Hospital Bariatric Center. There is no need to register for the group. Spouses, partners and other adult support persons are also welcomed to attend.
