Loretta B. Gotfredson

Loretta B. Gotfredson, 94, formerly of Pine City and Braham, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at GracePointe Crossing West in Cambridge. 

Loretta was born in Brunswick, Minn. on Dec. 31, 1916 to her parents Algot and Beda (Lodin) Strandlund. She spent most of her life in the Pine City and Braham area. Loretta was known for her quick wit, love of dancing and her great cooking. “God take good care of her.”

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Vince Ostrom and Elton Gotfredson, son Gary Ostrom, grandson Vince Kahn, brothers Raymond, Bud, Roy, Rodney, Lyle, Erling, and Larry, sisters Harriet Lance, and Ruby Chaffee.

She is survived by daughters Collette Kahn (Nels Pierson), Bonnie (Bob) Gernander, brother Zonnie (Jean) Strandlund, 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and special extended family, Dana Yurich and Paul Wrege.

Funeral Services will be held held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rich Chronis officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Music will be provided by Linda Nord and Paul Wrege. Casketbearers are Gerald Gernander, James Gernander, Ken Gernander, Thane Hathaway, Scott Ostrom, and John Whitney.  Interment in the Rice Lake Cemetery of Braham. Arrangements were by the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham.
