Brook Park man charged with malicious punishment of a child, felony assault

A Brook Park man is facing two felony charges following an altercation involving a juvenile male.

Daniel Joseph Deose, 50, was charged June 10 in 10th Judicial District Court in Cambridge with felony 3rd degree assault, felony malicious punishment of a child and misdemeanor domestic assault.

According to the criminal complaint, Deose and the juvenile got into an altercation on Wednesday, June 8.

The altercation allegedly involved Deose punching the juvenile in the right arm, shoulder, rib area, forehead and nose.

Law enforcement observed red marks and bruises on the juvenile and he also suffered a broken nose.

On June 10 Deose appeared before Judge James Dehn where bail was set at $150,000 without conditions or $50,000 with conditions.

His next court appearance is scheduled for June 23.
