Several leaders from the Cambridge-Isanti business community were given special recognition for assisting with the first “Senior and Junior Appreciation Night” hosted at the Cambridge Guetschoff Theatre.

Receiving Certificates of Achievement from the St. Paul Recruiting Company on June 2 were: Deborah Zeise, Jo Ann Sprino, Richard Guetschoff, Robert Guetschoff, Charles Guetschoff, Elmer Guetschoff, Grant Guetschoff and Dawn Hustvedt.

“Today, we’re very fortunate enough. We have several great community leaders here who understand freedom is not free. Some have served the country before, and they continue serving today, giving up their own time to help us ensure America remains free,” spoke SFC William Slease, Station Commander at the Cambridge Army Recruiting Center located in the Cambridge City Center Mall.

Added Minneapolis Recruiting Battalion Commander LT.COL John Hinck, “From the bottom of my heart, thanks for your service. I told my guys when I took command a couple weeks ago, the first step is to be a quality professional. That really begins with the first step of being part of a quality community.”

Richard Guetschoff closed the ceremony by stating back to the Army personnel gathered, “The shoe’s kind of on the wrong foot here. It’s you people who are still giving us freedom and defending the Constitution. So our thanks goes to you.”
