Marjorie Ramsey

Marjorie Ramsey, 47, of Isanti died unexpectedly June 5, 2011 at her home.

Marjorie Alice Ramsey was born July 8, 1963 in Prairie Farm, Wis. to Helmer “Ted” and Pauline Seeger. She was raised at Prairie Farm and graduated from Prairie Farm High School, Class of 1981. She then attended and graduated from Augsburg College. Marjorie married Larry Ramsey on June 7, 1977 in Walker, Minn. They made their home in Walker until moving to Isanti two years ago. She worked at Ah-Gwah-Ching Nursing Home in Walker for 11 years. She worked at METO, Minnesota Extended Treatment Options in Cambridge. Marjorie was a union representative for MAPE, Minnesota Association of Professional Employees and she organized women’s meetings on how to get more out of the workplace. 

She was an avid fisherwoman, enjoyed gardening, painting, crocheting and making quilts and afghans.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Larry; parents, Ted and Pauline Seeger of Prairie Farm, Wis.; 3 brothers, Art (Diane) Seeger of Oakdale, Ted (Kathy) Seeger of New Richmond, Wis., Todd (Beth) Seeger of Chetek, Wis.; 2 sisters, Jacquie (Bob) Fisher of Spring Lake Park, Paula Seeger of St. Paul; by nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Matt Flom officiating. Friends may gather 1 hour before the service on Friday.

    I was so very sad to see the Marj had passed away. I knew her from our days at Ah-Gwah-Ching in Walker. Marj always had a smile on her face and was super with the residents there!! My deepest sympathy goes out to all of her family!! S!!
