Jacket track opens 7AAs with two State qualifiers

On June 1 at Grand Rapids, the Cambridge-Isanti track teams had two members earn State trips from the finals events held. The Section 7AA meet continues Saturday, June 4 back at Grand Rapids with finals in the remaining events.

Senior Hannah Mueller won the girls long jump by tying her personal-best mark of 17-11, returning to State in that event. She also posted the top time by 1 second in the 100 hurdles (finals on Saturday).

Senior Mark Volker cleared 13-11 to place 3rd in the boys pole vault, but his height met the State qualifying standard for him to advance. Senior Conner Anderson placed 5th at 13-05 on the vault, a personal-best height.
