Bruce Douglas Carlson

Bruce Douglas Carlson, 74, of Taylors Falls died unexpectedly and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 15, 2011.

Bruce was born June 13, 1936 in Braham, Minn. to Chester and Edith (Leaf) Carlson. Bruce gave his heart to Jesus as a young man and followed him faithfully all of his life. He graduated from Braham High School in 1954 and later served in the Minnesota National Guard out of Milaca. On Dec. 14, 1963 he married Linda Bebensee from Braham, Minn. Bruce served 27 years with the Minnesota State Patrol from Aug. 12, 1964 to Aug. 13, 1991 when he retired as a Corporal.

Since his retirement Bruce continued to enjoy spending time with his family and friends as well as serving the Lord.  Bruce loved traveling with his loving wife, Linda, enjoying numerous trips all across the globe and he cherished the many special friendships made while traveling. Bruce also enjoyed reading, painting, woodworking, and even built a full size playhouse for his grandchildren with his friends from church.  Bruce was active in church activities and willing to help out with any project at any time. The times that Bruce spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren were the most precious to him. Although he will be dearly missed by his family, they know that they will see him again one day.
