She was born March 29, 1926 to William F. Bittorf and Maregarethea D. Hedler in Baltimore. She was raised in Maryland; she attended school and church there. In 1962 she moved to Minnesota with her husband Cleo Fritche. She was a wonderful mother, an excellent cook, and she enjoyed gardening. She loved to go for road trips in the car. In her later years she liked to read and she excelled at Bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cleo C. Fritche; sons John J Haney, William C. Haney, and Howard Bittorf; sister Catherine.
She is survived by sons John T. Haney (Laurie) of Pine City, Brian D. Fritche Sr. of St. Francis, Buster Q. Fritche (Darcy) of Cambridge; daughter Elizabeth Bylund (Garret) of Ogilvie; daughters-in-law Sandra Bittorf, Mary Haney sister Carolyn R. Walters of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Brenda and Terri Bittorf, Wade Pangerl, Tanya McQuade (Mike), Becky Baumann (Phil), April Bylund, Scott Bylund, David Bylund, Jeremy Bylund, Rosa Lamere, Nick Haney (Amber), Emily Haney, Brian Fritche Jr. Amber Fritche, Rachel Smith (Lenny), Adam Fritche (Laura) and Joseph Fritche; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 20 at Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham, Mike Norton officiated. Casketbearers were Wade Pangerl, Nick Haney, Scott Bylund, Adam Fritche, Brian Fritche Jr., David Bylund, Jeremy Bylund and Joseph Fritche. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements were handled by Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham.
