Local Farmers’ Markets
Ongoing: Cambridge Farmers’ Market will be held Saturday, May 21, at the City Center Markets parking lot from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Isanti Farmers’ Market is held at Riverside Market Grocery Store parking lot on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Free Community Dinner
Thursday, May 19: A free Community Dinner will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Use the downstairs entrance. Everyone is welcome to join for a time of fellowship and a meal.
Long Lake Spaghetti Dinner
Friday, May 20: Long Lake Lutheran Church in Isanti, (Hwy. 47 and 277th Avenue) will host a Spaghetti Dinner from 4-7:30 p.m. Cost is Adults: $5, Ages 6-12: $3, and under 6 are free.
Four Seasons Garden Club Plant Sale
Saturday, May 21: The Four Seasons Garden Club will be holding a spring plant sale from 8 a.m.-noon in front of FleetGo in Cambridge. Annuals Perennials, and Wildflowers all at very reasonable prices.
Sunday, May 22: River Valley Christian Church is hosting a Community Lunch at the Grandy Community Center, 2749 Co. Rd. 6, in Grandy, from 12:30-2 p.m. A freewill offering will be accepted, but is not required. Questions, call 763-689-6987.
10 Wonderful Culinary Herbs
Tuesday, May 24: Would you like to perk up your cooking a bit? Come hear about delicious cooking tips using fresh herbs. Myrl Moran, co-owner (with her husband, Dan) of Melon Patch Herbs and long-time St. Paul Farmer’s Market vendor, will be at City Center Market in Cambridge from 5-5:45 p.m. to talk about growing, harvesting and using fresh herbs. Cambridge Customer Appreciation Event meeting
Wednesday, May 25: The Cambridge Customer Appreciation Event committee would like to encourage all businesses to attend a planning meeting at 10 a.m., at the Minnco Center. The event is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16, and draws thousands of residents to the downtown area. All Cambridge businesses are welcome to attend the meeting, and learn more about this event.
Cambridge Senior Dance
Wednesday, May 25: The Cambridge Senior Dance will be held at the American Legion in Cambridge from 1-4 p.m. Jerry Biershbach will play his accordion. Cost is $5.
Annual Memorial Day Program
Saturday, May 28: The Old Maple Ridge Covenant Church, located seven miles West of Braham on Holly Street, will be holding a potluck meal at noon, followed by a program. Bring your own picnic dishes and silverware. Coffee will be furnished. Come and have a good time of fellowship.
Basic of Home Canning
Wednesday, June 1: Do you want a cupboard full of home canned fruits and vegetables? Attend this “Basic of Home Canning” class from 6-8 p.m. and learn what must be pressure canned, equipment needed and safe home canning methods. Class held at Minnco Community Room, Cambridge.
