Injuries reported in Chisago County Rollover

On Sunday, May 15, at 11 a.m. near the 1400 block of 520th St. W., Nessel Twsp., Chisago County, four teenagers and a 21-year-old from the Braham area received various injuries, reportedly, when the truck they were riding in rolled over near the intersection of Basswood Road West and North Lake Drive West.

One passenger, a Stanchfield girl, age 14 or 15, was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale where her condition was not known as of press time. The driver, a 17-or 18-year-old male, and passenger Theadore John Workman, 21, both of Braham, were transported by ambulance to the hospital. The driver was cited for careless driving. Also hospitalized were the two other passengers, between the ages of 14 and 17, also of Braham. Because the teenagers involved are listed as juveniles, the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office is not releasing those names.

Assisting at the scene were Allina Ambulance, Braham first responders, Lakes Region EMS, Chisago Lakes Rescue and area law enforcement.
