Bluejackets 5th, 8th at True Team Track sections

The Cambridge-Isanti boys finished 5th and the girls were 8th when the Section 5AAA True Team meet was hosted in White Bear Lake. The Blaine boys and White Bear Lake girls advanced to next week’s State True Team finals.

Hannah Mueller led the Bluejacket contingent by winning both the 100 hurdles (dropping to 16.08) and the long jump (17-09). She added a 5th in the triple jump.

Rocelle Anderson posted the other C-I win when she cleared 9-06 on the pole vault. Adelle Nelson was 4th on the vault. More top-10 finishes for the C-I girls: Lily Porta 7th in the 400; Erica Young 9th in the long jump; Paige Muehlhauser 10th in the 800. The Jackets’ best relay finish was 4th in the 4×400.

• Billy Eifert in the 3200 and Sam Westerberg in the 800 gathered the C-I boys’ top places when they finished 3rd. Westerberg also ran to a 4th in the 1600, and Eifert was 6th in that event. Trevor Galligan added a 4th in the 800.

More top-10 finishes for the C-I boys: Casey Golla 4th in the 300 hurdles; Forrest Kalk 4th, Jordan Kalk 7th and Justin Rud 8th in the high jump; Mark Volker 4th and Conner Anderson 6th in the pole vault; Jeremy Ham 9th in the discus; J. Kalk 9th in the long jump and 10th in the triple. The top Jacket relays were 5th places from the 4×400 and 4×800.
