During Severe Weather Awareness Week, April 11-15, Isanti County Homeland Security and Emergency Management provided Skywarn training to the public and once again had a great turnout.
I would like to thank Tony Zaleski of the National Weather Service for conducting the training and all those individuals that attended. Each resident of Isanti County in attendance received a weather radio which was provided by Isanti County Emergency Management through a NOAA Notification and Warning Grant. A special thank you goes out to Cub Foods for their donation of a gift card that was used toward refreshments.
If you are interested in future Skywarn training, contact the Emergency Management office at 763-689-8306 or visit the National Weather Service webpage at www.crh.noaa.gov.
