Peter King Odegaard

Peter King Odegaard passed away peacefully April 18, 2011 at his home in Brownsville, Texas. 

Peter and his twin brother Paul were born in St. Paul, Minn. in 1935. He graduated from high school in Rush City in 1953. He was a tool & die and mold maker all his life. He married Jean Westrom in 1956. Peter and Jean lived in Rush City and Coon Rapids, Minn. before retiring in Finlayson, Minn. He moved to Brownsville recently after being a “winter-Texan” for eight years.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Stephanie (King) Odegaard and his twin brother Paul.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter Rebecca Haas, Finlayson, Minn.; sons Steve (Kelly), Harris, Minn., Michael (Lou), Charlotte, N.C., and Erik (Rochelle) of Elk River, Minn.; 7 grandchildren: Jake Haas, John Haas, Ashley Odegaard, Nick Odegaard, Joe Odegaard, Madison Odegaard and Kaden Odegaard; 2 step-grandchildren, Jordan and Erica; and 2 great grandchildren, Shaianne and Jack; his brother Robert of Brownsville and sister Margery McCluskey of Endeavor Wis.; nieces and nephews and all his friends at Palm Resaca Park in Brownsville.

Interment will be at a later date in the Lutheran Cemetery in Rush City, Minn.
