Veterans: Free Appreciation Concert at Cambridge Campus, April 28

In appreciation of veterans and their families, Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus is offering a free concert, Anna Johnson live, Thursday, April 28, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., in the Peterson Community Room (G202).

Admission is free for all ages, and refreshments will be provided by Rendezvous Coffee.

Johnson, a singer, songmaker and performer, released “Ready to Go” in May of 2010. The album has been described by critics as “a breath of fresh air,” “an expressive mastery of melody,” “cool and catchy,” “brilliantly arranged,” and “achingly gorgeous.”

With the natural voice, tight harmonies, excellent lyrics and the skill of musicians such as Andy Leftwich, Scott Dente and Ken Lewis, the album is a masterpiece of expression and emotion. McPherson Guitars endorsed Johnson in 2010.
