Thursday, April 28 & Saturday, April 30: Join other “Little Bee” readers for discussions on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Library and Saturday at 11 a.m. at Scout & Morgan Books. This is part of the Cambridge Community-Wide Read events, with the book selected being, “Little Bee.”
Gerdin Cemetery Spring Meeting

Pancake Breakfast, Silent Auction fundraiser
Saturday, April 30: The 2011 Cambridge-Isanti High School Graduation Lock-In Party will have a fundraiser event with a Pancake Breakfast/Silent Auction at Cambridge Applebees from 8-10 a.m. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased ahead of time by calling Diane at 763-689-5853. All are welcome.
Braham Fire/Rescue Smelt Fry
Saturday, April 30: The Braham Fire and Rescue will hold its Annual Smelt Fry/Chicken Nuggets for the Kids, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Braham Fire Hall. Cost is $8 for All-You-Can-Eat smelt. Proceeds benefit firefighter relief.
Isanti County Master Gardeners Program
Saturday, April 30: The Isanti County Master Gardeners and the Friends of the Cambridge Library invite you to a gardening workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Cambridge Public Library. There will be a question and answer table staffed with two master gardeners. There will also be a master gardener in the downstairs Computer Lab showing helpful gardening links, plus presentations in the meeting room on the following topics: Planning a Vegetable Garden; Container Gardening; New Plants for 2011; and Fruit Trees.
Bradford Township Cleanup Day
Saturday, April 30: Join Bradford Township residents at the Town Hall for the annual cleanup day. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 4 p.m.
Mason’s Pancake Breakfast
Sunday, May 1: Stop by the Helios Masonic Lodge from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for pancakes, eggs and sausage. Donations are $6 for adults, kids six and under are free. The lodge is located at 2nd Ave. and Cypress St. SW in Cambridge.

Wednesday, May 4-Friday, May 6: Join other bargain hunters for a garage sale at Long Lake Lutheran Church. The sale will last from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each of its three days.
Free computer class offered
Friday, May 6: An ‘Overview of Computers’ taught by Dave Larson will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Joy Lutheran Church, Cambridge. To register call Vicki at 763-689-5912. This is a beginning computer class, but will benefit people at all skill levels.

Friday, May 13: A Red Hat Sister’s Benefit for the family of Joan Bauer will be held at 2 p.m. All Red Hatter’s, as a group or individually, are welcome to join for the benefit. Third Annual Bird Walk at Anderson County Park
Saturday, May 14: The public is invited to join expert birders Joe Sausen and Tom Anderson from the local Wild River Audubon Chapter as they explore the park for spring migrant and returning resident birds from 8 a.m. to noon. The park is located in the southeast corner of Isanti County on Co. Rd. 18, a quarter mile north of Co. Rd. 9 and two miles south of Co. Rd. 5. The event is free and family-friendly.
