Generations Online computer training

Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays:

Free computer training for people 50-years old and older, is offered every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Cambridge Library Computer Lab from 9-11 a.m. Basic computer skills such as email, photo sharing and more will be taught. Legion Chicken Dinner

Friday, April 22: The American Legion broasted chicken dinner has been rescheduled to Friday, April 22, starting at 5 p.m. until gone at the upper level of the Cambridge Legion. The next Legion chicken dinner will be in the fall. Cost of the meal is $6 per person. This will be the last of the last Friday of the month chicken meals until fall.

Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday, April 24: Cambridge UPC Church, 210 10th Ave. S.W., Cambridge, (renting the Seventh Day Adventist Church) will host an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids and drawing for prizes at 10 a.m. Free Community Dinners & Bread Distribution are also held the 1st Thursday of each month. Cambridge Senior Dance

Wednesday, April 27: The Cambridge Senior Dance will be held at the American Legion in Cambridge from 1-4 p.m. with Dick Szyplinski playing his accordion. Cost is $5.

Spring Salad Buffet

Wednesday, April 27: Cambridge United Methodist Church, 404 N. Cypress, will host its 32nd Annual Spring Salad Buffet from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in honor of Administrative Assistant’s Day. Tickets are $6.50 in advance, $7 at the door, and children under 3 are free. Proceeds fund camperships. For tickets, call the church at 763-689-2071.

Gerdin Cemetery Spring Meeting

Pancake Breakfast, Silent Auction fundraiser

Saturday, April 30: The 2011 Cambridge-Isanti High School Graduation Lock-In Party will have a fundraiser event with a Pancake Breakfast/Silent Auction at Cambridge Applebees from 8-10 a.m. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased ahead of time by calling Diane at 763-689-5853. All are welcome.

Braham Fire/Rescue Smelt Fry

Saturday, April 30: The Braham Fire and Rescue will hold its Annual Smelt Fry/Chicken Nuggets for the Kids, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Braham Fire Hall. Cost is $8 for All-You-Can-Eat smelt. Proceeds benefit firefighter relief.

Isanti County Master Gardeners Program

Saturday, April 30: The Isanti County Master Gardeners and the Friends of the Cambridge Library invite you to a gardening workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Cambridge Public Library.  There will be a question and answer table staffed with two master gardeners.  There will also be a master gardener in the downstairs Computer Lab showing helpful gardening links, plus presentations in the meeting room on the following topics: Planning a Vegetable Garden; Container Gardening; New Plants for 2011; and Fruit Trees. Join for an educational and fun morning at the library.

Mason’s Pancake Breakfast

Sunday, May 1: Stop by the Helios Masonic Lodge from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for pancakes, eggs and sausage. Donations are $6 for adults, kids six and under are free. The lodge is located at 2nd Ave. and Cypress St. SW in Cambridge.

Free computer class offered

Friday, May 6: An ‘Overview of Computers’ taught by Dave Larson will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Joy Lutheran Church, Cambridge. To register call Vicki at 763-689-5912. This is a beginning computer class, but will benefit people at all skill levels. Topics include: computer terminology, the parts inside the computer, tips for buying one, should you buy a laptop, pros and cons of different stores, and plenty of time for questions.
