The Harbor Room Cancer Resource Center will celebrate its 6th anniversary on April 20, and invites the community to help mark this milestone.
Join them Wednesday, April 20 from noon to 3:30 p.m. in the Harbor Room. Enjoy beautiful music by area harpist Joanne Robillard, have some refreshments, and see firsthand the many resources available to cancer patients and families provided in the calm and peaceful setting of the Harbor Room.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to win a beautiful photograph by local photographer Chris Gibbs of C5 Adventure Photography in Cambridge. Gibbs is an outdoor photographer whose passion for adventure and the outdoors provides him with inspiring subject matter and takes him to places seldom seen by others. His services also include commercial and family photography. Thanks to Gibbs’ generosity, one of his beautiful images will be raffled off at the open house.
Over the past six years, the Harbor Room has served countless individuals in their cancer journey. Located within Cambridge Medical Center, the Harbor Room is a welcome resource to community members who are confronting cancer or are supporting a loved one doing so. Understanding and compassionate volunteers are on hand to help answer questions, listen, and do research and find resource materials. They also help cancer patients select the right hat, head scarf, wig, mastectomy bra and/or prosthetic, all of which are provided at no cost. Support groups for both men and women are offered, as well as other programs such as Beautiful You and Yoga.
No RSVP is necessary and all are welcome.
